Account Supervisor

At Cobalt Public Affairs, we're seeking a dedicated, dynamic account supervisor to join our team. As a key player in our mission to shape public opinion and tackle complex challenges, you'll be at the forefront of our work at the intersection of public affairs, politics, and crisis communications. Your role will be instrumental in executing strategies that shape public opinion and help organizations move through turbulent times. Our key focuses include issue advocacy, litigation support, campaigns, corporate reputation, thought leadership and media relations.

    • Draft press releases, op-eds, talking points, fact sheets and Q&A documents

    • Conduct media outreach, track coverage, build custom media lists

    • Prepare clients for media interviews and speaking events

    • Generate creative ideas to generate energy around client priorities

    • Participate in developing communications plans to meet client objectives

    • ·Together with our creative professionals, develop compelling social media and collateral content

    • 2-4 years of experience working in a public affairs agency, political campaign, government office or in-house corporate communications

    • Strong relationships with California’s news media and ability to pitch

    • Outstanding writing skills

    • Highly motivated and hardworking, able to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Creative, loves to learn and not afraid to innovate

    • Familiarity with social media platforms

    • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, political science or related field

    • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe, and Google Workspace preferred
